THE BICYCLE SOURCE GRAND REOPENING PARTY!!!!!

Last weekend, I had the chance to go to the grand reopening of The Bicycle Source. That's right, THE BICYCLE SOURCE.  It was a blast, Steve Blackie and Danny Hubbard have something special going on down there. They have recaptured the vibe and feel of the original shop but have taken it many levels beyond in a very short period of time. Picture this, a full service BMX shop with an awesome indoor bike park, lounge, bmx historical/vintage bike museum, and bar-b-que all in one spot. I thought we would only be there for a couple hours or so but ended up there for like 6 hours just talking and reuniting with old friends from my childhood. Here are some pics. They don't do the party  or The Source justice but man I want to talk to my wife about moving to the OC just to be closer to the shop. So much energy there, if Kramer went he would say it's "The place to be". Can't wait for the next event on May 21st. Chris Day of Flat Clothing is having a flatland jam there. Look out! Has to be dope! LOTLIFEBMX.BLOGSPOT.COM will be an official sponsor and stay tuned for lots of coverage. Full story, photos, and possible video footage to come.

1st Ride Flatware Waltz

Finally had some good weather today and got out to ride a little. Flatware frame feels great, kinda reminds me of my old KHE RIP but with a much better warranty and better attention to detail. So far I love this frame. Still have to get used to it, I think my nankai axle is bent. Need to replace that tonight. Heres some pics I took self portrait 10 second timer style.

Redondo Beach CA "The Spot" Session

REDONDO BEACH, CA

BO WADE!!!

A few months back me Chris, "Flat Clothing" Day, and Bo Wade met for a flatland session at the old Redondo Beach spot called "The Spot" from back in the old BMXA days. We had gloomy weather all day but had a great session. We rode down to Hermosa Beach after and did not drink beers.

NEW SKATEPARK IN SAN PEDRO CA?????

Looks like a new skatepark popped up in town.
More of a sk8 plaza with ledges and small stairs.
No transition in sight but theres a few slanted walls.

There are no signs indicating it as a skatepark but
no signs saying NO skateboards either. Bikes are
probably good to go here as well. Can't wait to
see it in the magazines. Come get it while its still
FRESH!

I could just see someone doing a nose wheelie/pedal5
across that boxish thing.

I think even I could wall ride that. Time to get a street bike setup.

Beyond that fence is the Pacific ocean and a view
of Santa Catalina Island on a clear day. This used to
be a shady parking lot surf look out. Now I think
it serves as both surf lookout and sk8park/bike park.

Still not sure on if this is even a skatepark or not so
go at your own risk. If its not though, what a cruel joke.

Some more art projects I've just finished up.

I have rediscovered paint pens. Sharpie poster paint and
DecoColor pens in particular. Very easy to use, and they
work on almost anything.
